About us

About māmācore

You were never lost. You’re just becoming.

māmācore is movement-wear for the modern māmā—designed not for who you were before, or only who you are now, but for the woman you’re still unfolding into.

Because your identity didn’t disappear when you became a mother.

It evolved. Softened. Deepened. Strengthened.

We see you—still showing up, still holding everything together, still trying to find moments that feel like you.

This brand is your permission slip:

To move.

To feel.

To reclaim space—for yourself.

The name

māmācore is layered—like all of us.

- māmā means mother and also “easy” in Te Reo Māori—the Indigenous language of Aotearoa.

- core speaks to your strength—your centre, your identity, your movement.

Together, it’s not just a brand. It’s a new aesthetic. A new rhythm of motherhood.

A reminder that this chapter isn’t a pause. It’s a transformation.

The story

Founded in Aotearoa by Hailey Nguyen—a Vietnamese-born māmā of two raising her whānau with love, strength, and deepening ties to Te Reo Māori—māmācore was born out of the quiet moments of self-questioning that follow birth.

It was created as a love letter to the mothers who feel invisible, even to themselves. And a soft power anthem for those learning to see themselves again—this time, more whole.

This is māmācore.

This is where function meets feeling.

This is how you find your pink again.
